It was an absolute pleasure and a humbling experience to meet the bursary recipients and their guardians over the weekend, Saturday, 25 May 2024. Listening to their heartfelt experiences and testimonies highlighted the significant challenges they face in their academic pursuits due to financial constraints. Although not all recipients could attend, we extend our deepest gratitude to those who made sacrifices to be present. The heartfelt appreciation expressed by both students and parents for the transformative impact of the Mngomezulu Eswatini Bursary Scheme was overwhelmingly
Mr. Mngomezulu, though unable to join us in person, shared a heartfelt message which we were honoured to convey:
“I regret that I am unable to be with you in person today, but it brings me great joy to address you on this momentous occasion through this message. Today marks a significant milestone in the lives of our bursary recipients and in the journey of the Mngomezulu Eswatini Bursary Scheme.
First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the bursary recipients. You have been chosen not only for your academic excellence but also for your perseverance, dedication and potential to make a meaningful impact on our community and beyond. Your achievements are a testament to your hard work and today, we celebrate you and your bright future.
The Mngomezulu Eswatini Bursary Scheme was established with a vision to support and nurture the talents of young individuals like yourselves, who have demonstrated exceptional promise and a commitment to education. Our mission is to remove financial barriers and provide opportunities for you to pursue your dreams, contribute to the development of Eswatini and become leaders in your respective fields.
To the parents, guardians and mentors present today, I offer my deepest gratitude. Your unwavering support and guidance have been instrumental in the success of these young scholars. Your sacrifices and encouragement have not gone unnoticed and today we also honour you for your vital role in their achievements.
To our dedicated team and partners, thank you for your tireless efforts in making this bursary scheme a reality. Your commitment to excellence and your passion for education are the driving forces behind our success. Together, we are creating a brighter future for our nation.
As you embark on this new chapter, I encourage you to embrace every opportunity that comes your way. Continue to work diligently, stay curious and always strive for excellence. Remember that education is not just about acquiring knowledge; it is about using that knowledge to make a positive difference in the world. You are the future leaders, innovators, and change-makers of Eswatini and I have no doubt that you will rise to the occasion.
